Hello Angels Community,
Thank you Angels! We had an amazing count day. Every class had 99% Attendance today so ALL students had a 20 minute outside cell phone time.
Our OPEN HOUSE is coming soon: Thursday, October 2, 5 pm- 7 pm. Word of Mouth is the best way to enroll new students to SCHS. Please tell your family and friends to check out the great tradition at SCHS.
Please considering coming yourself as all of our teachers will be here and it is great opportunity to see everyone.
Monday is our first Parent Association Meeting and it is virtual, please come.
Blessings,
Mrs. Schumacher
Assistant Principal Notes
Hey Angel Nation!
-Please make sure you adhere to the dress code! Remember, your outermost layer needs to be St. Catherine's attire. Your non-St. Cat's hoodies need to be stored in your locker, not worn in the school. Please make sure that you are wearing black or khaki dress pants, not denim, joggers, cargos, cut offs, or sweatpants. Your hair cannot be an unnatural color, and it must be changed to one of the natural colors in the handbook: black, blonde, brown, mahogany, white, and natural red (p.32).
Dress Code Uniform checks will be held and dress code violations will begin leading to consequences like detentions.
-Homecoming is approaching quickly! Attendance Eligibility: Students must be in good standing regarding attendance, academics, and behavior to be eligible to attend Homecoming and Prom, or to participate in the Homecoming and Prom courts (p.45). Please make sure that you are making the right choices so that when it comes time for Homecoming, you don't miss out!
-Angels, when you arrive in the morning and enter through Door 2, please make sure your Yondr pouch is visible for us to see, so that we know you are following our phone policy! Your phone needs to be in the Yondr pouch before you head to class. If you don't have a phone, please make sure to sign your name with Mrs. MacDougall or Mrs. Knoell. If you have no Yondr pouch, you can sign your name on a post it note, attach it to your phone, and leave your phone in the Yondr bucket. I strongly advise picking up a Yondr pouch so that you are in compliance with our policy. Please don't make a habit of not having your Yondr pouch, as it will lead to consequences like detentions. You can purchase a new pouch for $30 in the main office! I highly recommend making sure you have your Yondr pouch, with the phone inside of it, so you can avoid these consequences!

Counselor Notes
🏫 Our first college visit will be from St. Norbert College, October 1st @ 9:00-9:45am, meeting in the Learning Commons. We will be sending out a survey to Seniors for suggestions on which schools they would like to meet with in the coming months.
🏦 Seniors also need to be on the lookout for information coming about FAFSA Night. The 2026-27 FAFSA opens October 1st, and we will host an evening for students and their parents later in October to attend an informational session to learn more about the application process.
📓 The counselors will begin meeting with all grade levels to share information, discuss future college and career plans, and offer assistance for anyone who needs support.
📥 Students: CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!! Your teachers, counselors and administrators communicate frequently through email, so it is important that you check it throughout the day. This goes double for Seniors who are waiting on responses from colleges or scholarships.
🗓️ Schedule changes have been over for several weeks. Students, please do not make requests to make changes in your first semester courses. If you need help in a class, or need help communicating with a teacher, we will be happy to work with you on that.
CONTACT YOUR COUNSELOR:
Ms. Knoell is responsible for students with last names starting with A-K
Mrs. MacDougall is responsible for students with last names starting with L-Z
Class of 2026 is slightly different with the split being Knoell A-L, MacDougall M-Z

LOCKERS: KEEPING STUDENTS SAFE, ORGANIZED AND READY TO LEARN!
At St. Catherine’s High School, student lockers play an important role in creating a safe and supportive environment. Lockers give students a secure place to keep their books, supplies, and personal belongings, so they don’t have to carry everything with them throughout the day. This not only helps protect their items but also makes it easier for students to stay organized, responsible, and focused on learning. Most importantly, lockers provide peace of mind—both for students and families—knowing their personal belongings are safe while they’re at school. We encourage all students to utilize their lockers.
If you need a locker make sure to stop at the main office or email Mrs. Spranger to get one assigned. We can also help students by practicing using the padlock combination so students can open with ease.

Service Hours FAQ
Homecoming is coming up next month and we are working hard in the Campus Ministry Office to make sure students understand how to get their service hours logged so they are eligible to go to the Dance. Your Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student will have received a message from Mrs. Dahlgren if they have not yet completed previous school year's service hours. Please check with them to see where they are with their service hours.
Quick Reminder what it says in our Service Requirements Letter found on our school website under Faith and Service: By September 1st, to be eligible to go to HOMECOMING, you must complete your previous years' service hours. By April 30th, to be eligible to go to PROM, you must complete this year and all previous years' service hours. By May 15th, to be eligible to walk at GRADUATION, you must complete 9th-12th grade’s service hours.
We want ALL students to be able to celebrate Homecoming by going to the Dance. Campus Ministry has extended the due date for service hours to September 12th.
Please note that this is just one of the requirements to be eligible to go to the dance, students must be in good standing (aka: attendance/grades/etc) and purchase a ticket to go. Ticket information will come out in a few weeks so keep an eye out for it.
