THE RUNDOWN

Important Notes for the Week Ahead

  1. Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 16, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

  2. Any Siena student can still pick up a FREE LUNCH on MLK Day (Monday, Jan. 16). You must fill out this form in order to pick up a meal!

  3. Do you have any gently-used artificial Christmas trees that are looking for a new home? O'B will take them! These trees will be a great addition to next year's Christmas decorations at SCHS!

  4. SENIORS! Mrs. Mielcarek is missing many, many senior pictures for the yearbook. These are due by January 15! Scroll down for additional information.

Juniors: ACT Prep Class

The next ACT Prep class will be starting soon. If you want a chance to improve your ACT score this is the class for you. The class starts Thursday, January 26 and runs every Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. until March 2. We will then have a full practice test on Saturday, March 4 from 8-11:30 a.m. The classes are at the high school in room 103. If you are interested in signing up for the class please see your guidance counselor or call Leann Pomeroy at 262-498-4113. For more information please visit www.WisconsinTestPrep.com. Cost of the course for St. Catherine students is a $25 deposit, that will be refunded to students that attend all test prep sessions.

FREE Breakfast/Lunch: What You Need To Know About Getting Reimbursed

  • Starting this school year, SCHS will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. This means that all of our students will be able to receive free, nutritious meals every school day.

  • Under CEP, SCHS will receive reimbursement from the federal government for providing free meals to all students. This will allow us to simplify meal service and reduce administrative burden, as we will no longer need to collect household applications for free and reduced-price meals.

  • Deposited funds may be refunded or donated since eligible meals are now covered by CEP. To request a refund, please complete the form by clicking HERE.

  • Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or would like more information. We are committed to providing all of our students with the support they need to succeed in school, and we believe that access to healthy meals is an important part of that support.

Yearbook, Senior Pics

Now is the time to plan for senior pictures, if you have not already done so! Traditionally, these photos are taken early in senior year, so that by January 15, everyone has chosen proofs and your final selection has been submitted to the yearbook. For our yearbook, one color wallet-size print or digital file (approx. 2” wide x 3” high or larger) is needed by JANUARY 15, 2023. Your photographer should send these to dmielcarek@sienacatholicschools.org, or you can bring the photo in yourself. OR… You (or the photographer) also may submit a digital picture on a flash drive, or email it (as an attachment). Make sure digital pictures are high-resolution, at least 300 dpi.
