An Arduino system uses a type of digital logic which can be used to replicate the signals produced from analogue circuits using a smaller number of components.
Being able to program a system rather than relying on set functions from a IC (Integrated Circuit) can also allow your projects to be much more sophisticated.
For this session we will be using an ‘Arduino UNO’ board connected to a breadboard to control a number of LEDs. This will firstly be used to replicate an Astable and Monostable system.Firstly however, you need to learn about the Arduino UNO board as shown in Fig 1.
