"Why Do So Many Native American Go Missing?"McLean, Scott. “Why Do so Many Native American Women Go Missing? Congress Aiming to Find Out.” CNN, Cable News Network, 9 Apr. 2019, https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/09/us/native-american-murdered-missing-women/index.html
In McLeans article he had talked about the issue of missing and murdered indigenous women. The studies of which native american are ten times more likely than the rest of the population to be murdered. There are not as many police on reservations that most women disappear from. The missing white people get most immediate responses compared to native americans. Bills follow the “savannas act” which aims to improve the collection of data on missing and murdered native american women. There needs to be more available police on reservations. Missing and murdered indigenous women hardly get talked about. He states that violence against native women has been becoming more and more of an issue. The top two questions that are trying to be sort out are “ what are we missing here? What is happening with our native woman that they are being victimized to the extent and the level that they are?”
While reading this passage and summarizing it and getting an idea of how much the missing and murdered indigenous women aren't getting attention. The fact that it has been a problem for many years and is becoming much more when no one's paying attention to it. It's scary knowing that we as indigenous people have ten times more chance of being murdered or going missing. Living in a cruel world where many are going missing. Most of these ladies that go missing are teenagers. We go on endless searches to find our loved ones. As indigenous people need to be their voices and speak up about what has been going on. Yes, missing and murdered indigenous people is here and is a real problem in today's world. We need to be aware of our surroundings. We need to look after one another. NO MORE STOLEN SISTERS!!!

Lopez, Antoinette, “U.S./Mexico Cross Border Issue Child Abduction- The Need for Cooperation”. New Mexico law review summer 1990 https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0?ui=2&ik=ca7caedc19&attid=0.1&permmsgid=msg-f:1679206733901549496&th=174dbda0aea54fb8&view=att&disp=safe&realattid=f_kfohxfaw0
In the article “ U.S./Mexico Cross Border Issue Child Abduction- The Need for Cooperation” The author had talked about the problems a child faces. One of the problems that the child faces after being removed from jurisdiction involves the parents not knowing where the abductor took the child. The second problem is the need of the parents for financial resources for travel, to hire detectives, attorneys, and other incidentals. The third problem is overcoming language and cultural barriers that may make retrieving the child difficult. The fourth which is parents may have with unfamiliarity with the legal system in another country. The final problem was the abduction of a child presents prom]blems some individuals who flee with their children may be fleeing domestic violence, child abuse, or other intolerable situatuon. THe author states that children who is abducted suffers from the displacement. The major problems through all this is the confusion about the meaning of custody and the protection of visitation rights.
While reading this article it was heartbreaking knowing that children are being taken away from their families. Without letting the families know where exactly they will be at. They have no idea of the conditions that they will be in. They do not to stay in contact with their families. The fact that child abduction is still happening to today society. There are many missing with no trace of them nor where they are at. Many of those that are missing have not been heard from. Its getting scarier to go out knowing there could be someone waiting to take you away. Knowing its not a topic being talked about as much isn't even right. Knowing Indigenous woman have been missing for many of years but not much about is being done.
Cecco, Leyland. “Decades of Missing Indigenous Women a 'Canadian Genocide' – Leaked Report.” The Guardian, Guardian News and Media, 31 May 2019, https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/may/31/canada-missing-indigenous-women-cultural-genocide-government-report
In the article “Decades of missing indigenous women a “canadian genocide”-leakes report. The author talks about the national inquiry into murdered and missing indigenous women and girls. Determined that” state actions and inactions rooted in colonialism and colonial ideologies” were a key driving force in the disappearance of thousands of indigenous women. Thousands of indigenous women and girls have been lost to the canadian genocide. The government inquiry into disappeared women and girls. The author states that three decades of missing and murdered indigenous women amounts to a ‘canadian genocide’. While the number or indigenous women who have gone missing is estimated to exceed 4,000 the report admits that no firm numbers can ever be established.
In this article it talked about the number of missing and murdered indigenous women and children never being an exact number. The fact that they do not give out information once it's received is weird because if it were a non- native american they would have gone and already went to look for them. But that isn't the case here; it's indigenous women that are going missing. The state is failing to go into action right away when indigenous women are missing.
