This article is about how family separation and divorce can affect a child, meaning that a separation can cause a lot of stress especially if the family isn't making it any easier for them such as making them choose or putting pressure on them because you're down. This article is also to help a parent/s out and teach them how they can help their child out by doing the littlest things for them like showing them you're happy even if you're not or just being able to co parent and make things easier for the child to get through the situation. We may not think that separation will affect the child but it does in so many ways even at any age.

This article is about how the Aboriginal arte centres help everyone that is going through something. It took the program a long time to get what they need for the people and the space for them to be able to do what they want but they did get everything. As soon as they were able to get what we needed and get the word out everyone was hesitant but after they tried it they loved it because it took them away from what was actually going on or just to express what they were going through. Some were actually able to overcome whatever was happening within themselves. This program did a lot and it surprises me that the staff actually love what they do to help the people.
After reading the story “Sharing One Skin” by Jeannette Armstrong. I learn a lot about all of the different things about the Okanagan Community. Such as what it’s like and how it goes, meaning how Okanagan people are separated by the river and mountains they also have different roles and duties from whom they come from. They also have different beliefs about the other around then that are not from where they are from. As Jeanette's grandmother says ‘The people down there are dangerous; they are all insane’(p463).They want to protect themselves but to also extend those you do have the same skin as they do. They want to stay connected with each other no matter what has gone on.
After reading ‘ Native American Identity ‘by Perry G. Horse I learned that to this day we still don't get treated the same. Not only that it seems as if the younger generation is allowing the government to take our way and what we know as native americans. Like Grandma said “Someday we’re all going to be like white people”(p61.) She also noticed the younger kids chose to not speak the language and eat differently.
