Withdrawing from a class prior to the end of the first ten days for a full year course or first ten days of the semester for a semester course:
May be approved only under the following conditions:
The request must be made prior to the end of the first ten days.
The student must continue to carry at least six courses per semester.
The add/drop form, containing signatures from all parties involved, must be fully completed and submitted to the school counselor.
For AP/UCONN courses students must have completed all summer work and all other obligations during the first ten days.
Withdrawing from a class after the end of the first ten days for a full year course or first ten days of the semester for a semester course:
Only under unique circumstances will requests for withdrawals be considered after the end of the ten day period. After the first ten days:
The student must continue to carry at least six courses per semester.
The add/drop form will need to be complete including all signatures and submitted to administration for approval
A withdrawal pass (WP) or withdrawal fail (WF) will be recorded on the student’s transcript depending on the student’s grade at the time of withdrawal.
A WP or WF will not be calculated into a student’s GPA
