SPORTS PARTICIPATION and ALL EXTRACURRICULAR COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Student eligibility will be determined by the following criteria. These include:
Students entering the high school from the middle school, or any other eighth grade school, will be eligible to participate in a club or organization during their first marking period.
Eligibility for the first quarter is based upon the final grades from the preceding year for 10th, 11th and 12th graders. Following the first quarter, eligibility for participation in any club or organization for all students will be based upon the grades from the marking period preceding the activity for the second, third and fourth quarter.
All club and organization members must have earned a grade of 65 or above in five (5) classes the quarter prior to the activity. Additionally, they must not have any unserved disciplinary consequences or be classified as chronically absent (absent from school more than 18 days for the year).
All club and organization members must be in attendance for a minimum of half of the school day in order to practice, play, or participate on that day. The Administration may make an exception before the student’s departure from school for that day.
No student below grade nine is allowed to practice or participate in any club or organization without the permission of the Principal.
