FORM CITY TEAMS

Amidst COVID-19 pandemic, what’s going on in your city? How can we be relevant and help point these influentials to Jesus?

City Teams are built on the community and bond that form when leaders come together with intention. We encourage leaders to get involved in a group in their city to help address the needs of our communities. With this COVID-19 pandemic, what can we contribute as professionals, on a personal level, and spiritually?

PROFESSIONAL:
This is your career and regardless of what stage you are in, you can be focused on making an impact. The better professional you are and the higher the position you attain, the bigger the platform or opportunity for great impact. This is why it's critical to always be learning and honing your skills and knowledge through the best thought leaders in a peer environment.

PERSONAL:
This is who you are. It starts with knowing yourself and how you behave, think and take care of your well-being. It then moves to the relationships you have with others – from colleagues to friends to family and beyond. Where and how you grew up has shaped your life and the health of your emotions, relationships, and yourself effects your potential for impact.

SPIRITUAL:
This is what you believe. The values, morals and beliefs that underpin your decision making have a tremendous influence on your professional and personal life outcomes. This area drives and determines your motives and definitions for success and ultimately for impact you can have. LeaderImpact operates from a Christian worldview and helps leaders understand the relevance of faith as it relates to their professional and personal lives.

  4. Identify practical action steps .

  5. Connect to your target audience — leaders in your cities like government officials, other NGOs, etc.

  7. Explore spiritual conversations with them. Listen first to find connections.

  8. Invite professionals for a Weekly Zoom Call (or any online platform) for a weekly prayer, community support discussions and Bible study.

More Tips For More City Teams

  1. Connect with leaders online and ask how they are doing during a lockdown. This is a good time to minister to them. Ask about the impact of lockdown to them, their family, business, and employees.

  2. Ask if they want to be in a virtual group with other business people who may be dealing with the same issue that they shared. Offer to organize this virtual group.

  3. When a virtual group is organized, have a business person share a nugget talk for the group and have them discuss the message. Pray together and ask if they want to meet again.

  4. After a couple of meetings, cast a vision of reaching out to non-Christian businessmen by inviting them to the group.

  5. Have the group plan the program for their next meeting with unbeliever businessmen.
