This project brings together two distinct elements in a manner similar to a plug-and-socket relationship. Individually, each element performs its own function; however, when combined, they generate a new spatial condition that goes beyond their separate purposes.
The parapet wall along the road and the chariots that are parked across the street each serve their own roles within the site. Through the design intervention, the wall is modified to accommodate the presence of the chariots while also becoming a spatial element in its own right. The redesigned wall integrates seating spaces alongside the chariots, creating areas where people can gather and rest. It also incorporates niches and cavities that can be used by stray animals, while an added roof element enhances its usability and comfort.
Through this approach, the project transforms existing elements of the site into a more cohesive and functional public space.
