The project explores the transformation of a street and an open space, currently divided by a wall, into a shared public space that can function as shops, leisure seating, and a play area for children. The site is located on Eksar Road, on the street in front of the Eksar Gaon Devi Temple, which is situated just after Eksar Talav. Around the boundary walls of the temple, a residual space is created that becomes active through different everyday uses.
On the street edge there are flower shops, a garment vendor, and food stalls. Inside the open ground, children frequently use the space to play. The site supports multiple activities throughout the day, which change over time. For instance, the flower shop area often becomes a sitting space for children in the afternoon. Similarly, the garment vendor operates in the morning, while the same space transforms into a food stall later in the day.
The design proposal attempts to integrate these shifting activities. By loosening the rigid boundary wall and opening up the space, the project creates a shared environment that accommodates multiple uses in one place. The intention is to support temporary shops, provide seating for people, and create a safe and active play area for children.
