Attendance at CCA
Clearing Absences During Distance Learning: email CCAAttendance@sduhsd.net
If a student is out all day please provide us with that information and the reason for the absence.
If the student is missing specific periods please provide which periods your student will miss and the reason for the absence.
If your student will be leaving a class early please alert the attendance office and the teacher so we are aware that the student has left the class for a valid reason and is not disengaged.
If your student is arriving late to a class they must alert the teacher that they have arrived late to the class as the teachers are responsible for marking their attendance and their engagement in class.
During Distance Learning Attendance is not simply the act of being present in class, but the student being an engaged and active participant.
If your household is having issues due to Power-outages or Internet outages please send us that information and include what periods the student was affected.
It may take 24-48 hours after the absence for it to be updated on AERIES. Please log into AERIES on a computer and check the Attendance calendar. If it has not been updated please contact us again.
Parents are responsible for excusing all attendance absences/tardies for students who are under 18 years old.

18 year old students do not need parental permission and may do this in person for themselves.
