Email Subject: TARDY


Please include ONLY the following information in the email message body:

  • Student First and Last Name

  • Student Grade

  • Student ID (if available)

  • Reason for Tardy

Tardies


  • Students are considered late if they are not in class when the bell rings. They must stop by the Attendance Office for a Late slip before going to class.

  • Students who arrive late to class without checking in may be marked Absent by the teacher. It will be the student's responsibility to clear it up directly with the teacher the following school day. [SEE ATTENDANCE ERROR]

  • To excuse a tardy parents may:

      1. call and leave a voicemail

      2. come with their student to the window

      3. send an email, or

      4. send in a note with the student.

  • Students who are late due to medical appointments may bring a doctor’s note in lieu of a parents note to excuse any tardy . Tardies must be cleared within 24 hours.

  • Students arriving more than 30 minutes after class begins without a note, phone call or email constitutes a Truancy.

  • Students who are consistently late to class are a disruption to teachers and students' learning environment. They may be required to attend Saturday School if they are constantly marked Tardy.
