Sick Students

Regular attendance and class participation are an integral part of our students' learning experience; together, they determine student success. The San Dieguito Union High School District (SDUHSD) is committed to cultivating exemplary attendance habits.

Students who are not feeling well during the school day must go to the Health Office, located in the Lower Administration Building, to be dismissed.

If they are in class, they should let the teacher know that they are not feeling well and ask to go to the Health Office.

Parents/guardians should meet their student at the Health Office to sign them out.

If the student drives to school, the Health Office will call the parent/guardian once the student has checked in at the Health Office and dismiss them from school.

Students who are having social/emotional issues should report to either the Counseling Office or the Health Office.

The Attendance office is unable to excuse students who miss their scheduled class if they are not in the Health office or in the Counseling Office.

Students who miss class or leave school without checking out will be considered Truant from any classes missed.
