Like everything this year we put this together, we have had to do our Kindergarten orientation diff erently.
Staff built a Kindergarten Orientation Website to share a glimpse of what it is like at MPE school.
Parents can still access an individual tour of the school, they just need to contact us directly and we can set that up for them.

The show went on..
Big thanks to Mrs. Edwards for putting together two nights of the MPE 2020 COVID Talent Show,
and to all the students/families who put together an act and sent it in. We were so happy to be able
to offer an online version of this fun MPE activity.
Please visit the website to watch tonight’s acts. Please note you will need to be logged into your child’s SD48
google account to watch all the videos/submissions.

So many changes this year. Below is a selection of pictures for parents to see what the lower

We asked our community.. "what does Myrtle Philip Staff need to know while planning for student online learning at home?"
After a month of online learning we wanted to find out how we could improve our practice. Since this was new for us, we thought we would ask our community. Below is a report on what they said.
Thought Exchange - What did we learn?

Teachers have done an amazing job trying to keep the students
1) engaged during online learning and
2) keeping the learning purposeful and meaningful
This included funny video lessons, theme class chats (dress up days) and fun learning activities to
get the kids excited about being back in the building.
The last Wednesday before the break we had local painter/SD48 Teacher Natasha Plumridge come in and do a painting with the 12 students that attended that day. They produced this beautiful painting, and all got to contribute painting a section of it. We will hang it on the walls as a reminder of the time we had to "stay apart to come together" to keep our community safe.
