Digital Advising Tools: Overgrad and Xello Implementation Support Page

As part of NYC Public Schools’ commitment to ensuring every student graduates with a strong postsecondary plan, the Office of Student Pathways (OSP) is providing access to Digital Advising Tools (DAT)—Overgrad and Xello—across schools citywide.

Digital Advising Tools are online platforms that support students in:

• Exploring careers and postsecondary pathways

• Building and managing college and career plans

• Completing key milestones aligned to the Career Navigation Roadmap (CNR)

These tools also center students and families in the planning process by providing direct access to planning tools, progress tracking, and opportunities for meaningful engagement in postsecondary decision-making.

The tools also support school staff teams by shared visibility of student progress for school pathways teams 

This work directly supports NYS Portrait of a Graduate, ensuring all students graduate with the skills, experiences, and plans needed for success after high school.

There is no cost to schools. Licensing, training, and ongoing support are centrally funded, contingent on budget.
