Digital Advising Tool for Future Ready NYC Schools Support Page

As part of your participation in FutureReadyNYC (FRNYC), your school is eligible to receive centrally funded access to a Digital Advising Tool (DAT).

Overgrad and Xello are online platforms that support students in career exploration, college and career planning, and the development of their future plans. These tools also support student participation in experiences aligned to the Career Navigation Roadmap and completion of applicable FRNYC Key Implementation Measures (KIMs). Schools are expected to use their Digital Advising Tool throughout the school year to support students in completing career interest surveys, engaging in college and career planning activities, and participating in other meaningful advising experiences.

There is no cost to schools. Licensing, training, and implementation support are centrally funded by the Office of Student Pathways.

FRNYC Cohort 5 Schools: New FRNYC schools that do not currently have access to Overgrad or Xello should select a Digital Advising Tool by August 15, 2026. Please note that schools that adopt Overgrad or Xello after July 15, 2026, will not be able to activate the Common App integration for the 2026–27 school year and will need to wait until the following school year.
