Pathways has four ongoing professional learning communities.
Future Ready NYC (FRNYC) - CoP's are required convenings of FRNYC+ CRMYA schools focused on the core program components, quality implementation, and community building/cross-school learning. These events take place five times a year. They are facilitated virtually and in person.
Personal Finance - The Personal Finance Community of Practice brings together district leaders, school leaders, and educators across elementary, middle, and high schools to collaborate on the effective implementation of personal finance education. Through shared learning, strategic planning, and the exchange of promising practices, participants will build capacity to support the new personal finance requirements while ensuring students develop the knowledge and skills needed for long-term financial well-being.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) - During our CTE borough-based CoP’s, CTE leaders and teachers will come together to explore CTE programmatic promising practices presented by the host school, using the CTE Quality Continuum as our guide
College and Career Planning (CCP) - The COP serves as a yearlong professional learning series designed to help middle school and high school counselors, college and career advisors, and school and district teams deepen implementation of the Career Navigation Roadmap (CNR) and align their advising systems to NYCPS’s Portrait of a Graduate. Building on the successful design of the 2026 Summer Institute, the PLC continues to advance our shared goal: that every NYCPS student graduates with a Strong Plan for college, career, and life.
