Training Calendar

For the 2026–27 school year, the College and Career Planning team is helping schools move from initial platform adoption to high-impact implementation. Our professional learning opportunities support educators in leveraging Overgrad and Xello to deliver personalized advising, track student progress, and ensure every student graduates with a strong plan for postsecondary success and economic security.

All trainings are shown are listed on the College and Career Advising and Awareness Credential Catalog. Check out the two types of training we offer.

Implementation Training

Designed for school teams, counselors, and pathway advisors, these sessions focus on integrating digital tools directly into schoolwide college and career advising programming and routines.

Key Focus Areas:

Learn Promising Practices: Connect with peer schools to explore real-world implementation strategies and scale successful models across grades and staff teams.
Align to System Goals: Integrate Overgrad or Xello into your overall college and career program to meet Career Navigation Roadmap (CNR) milestones.
Design Engaging Experiences: Build student- and family-centered advising routines that encourage active postsecondary planning and long-term goal setting.
Drive Data-Informed Support: Utilize platform data and analytics to monitor student progress, identify targeted interventions, and keep students on track toward graduation and postsecondary success.
Access Direct Support: Receive hands-on guidance and continuous improvement support directly from the Office of Student Pathways team.

Technical Training (Overgrad/Xello)

Master the technical tools needed to streamline schoolwide workflows and maximize platform value. Hosted by Overgrad and Xello, these virtual sessions build educator confindence in foundational and advanced features.

Key Focus Areas:

Platform Navigation: Master core features, student-facing workflows, and administrative dashboards.
Account Management: Configure, update, and manage school user accounts and permissions smoothly.
Best Practices: Learn efficient strategies to prepare staff, students, and families to use the platforms effectively.
