Before we begin our next assignment we need to have a base level knowledge of how the tools work within Photoshop. This is a vast program with many ways to do one thing.
In order to begin learning this program you will complete the following Photoshop practices.
Practice #1: Selection Tools
For your first practice you will utilize the selection tools Photoshop has to offer to paste together a landscape using pieces from multiple photos.
You may use the 3 photos to the right to create the example shown on the left, or you can find your own 3 photographs.
You need to have a background, a middle ground, and a foreground.
Use the selection tools that work best for you, just make sure the finished product is clean and showcases your knowledge of the tools.
For this practice you will utilize Adjustment Layers and Masks to add pops of color to a black and white image.
Once again you may use the picture I have provided or find picture of your own
For this exercise you will use the clone stamp tool in order to clone a texture to place elsewhere in your piece.
The Clone Stamp allows you to copy parts of your image and "paint" them somewhere else.
The Liquefy tool is a filter that allows you push, pucker, bloat and distort your image in a multitude of ways. You can find it under the filter tab at the top of the Photoshop menu.
The Content Aware Move Tool allows you to move or extend objects within a photograph. The Puppet Warp Tool allows you to manipulate individual objects, much like moving parts of a puppet.

The Paint brush tool will allow you to paint in Photoshop digitally. The Mixer Brush tool allows you to blend the colors more.
