Portland Arts and Technology High School

Portland Arts and Technology High School (PATHS) is open to all students in grades 9-12. PATHS courses are designed for all students who are serious about gaining new skills and knowledge through applied “minds-on, hands-on learning.” These classes are designed for career-bound and college-bound students and are an extension of the high school schedule, counting toward graduation as any other class. Classroom theory and instruction, extensive labs, shop projects, and community-based internships combine to give students real-life experience in career directions. Some PATHS classes may offer intensive one-semester or one-year opportunities. Program listings and descriptions are listed here.

Application Procedures:

Students should see their school counselor to schedule a visit to PATHS to further explore a particular program they may be interested in. Students will complete an application on site during their visit. Scarborough High School will be notified by PATHS prior to the end of the school year whether or not students have been accepted into a PATHS program for the following year. All students completing the full two-year sequence of an approved program may be eligible for integrated studies credit. Credit recommendations are for completers only, and partial credit is specifically not recommended. Integrated studies credit (math, science, art) can be awarded in place of elective/vocational credit, not as additional credit. Students interested in receiving integrated studies credit should see their school counselor.
