The Virtual High School

Scarborough High School students have the opportunity each semester to enroll in online elective courses through The Virtual High School (VHS). These courses are taught by individuals who are employed teachers at high schools across the United States. VHS offers over 150 full-semester courses in the arts, business, English language arts, world language, life skills, mathematics, science, social studies, and technology. In addition, VHS offers 15 Advanced Placement (AP) full-year courses. All VHS core courses are NCAA accredited. A list of course offerings is available here.

To participate in The Virtual High School, a student must be a junior or senior, complete an application, and request a course for which he/she meets the qualifications and in which there is opening for enrollment. Students should see their school counselor for more information.
