Welcome Back DCS Art Students!

Here are 3 different slide shows to get you started this year! The first one is about the art kits you are all getting to use this year. The second slide show is about how to make a sketch. The third slide show is about how to create Kente Cloth inspired art. All of these slide shows have links to videos that Ms. Dickey and Ms. Chase have created to help you learn. The Kente Cloth slide show and video is geared to grades 3 and up. The other 2 videos are for everyone.

If you are a student who is currently coming to school, you have or will see these slide shows and videos in class with Ms. Chase or Ms. Dickey.

If you are a remote learning student these slide shows along with video links are designed to introduce you to art at DCS this year and get you inspired to make some art. The “unboxing video” goes over the art kit that you and your family will be picking up at school. Please remember that art kits are for DCS art lesson use only and that you need to take care of them.

Remote students will have IA classes a little differently this year. IAs will rotate in 4 week sessions for grade level spans. The first rotations for art are as follows,

Kindergarten-3rd Grade September 14-October 9

4th-5th Grade October 12-November 6

6-8th Grade. November 9-December 11
