This agreement tells you what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We aim to be flexible, so please let us know if you would like to make any changes and we will do our best to make your volunteer experience with us a positive and rewarding one.
We hope that you enjoy volunteering with us and feel a full part of SRC.
We will do our best to:
Introduce you to SRC and how the Repair Cafe works
Provide support so that you can tell us if you are happy with how SRC is organised, and get feedback from us
Respect your skills, dignity and individual wishes, and to do our best to meet them
Consult with you and keep you informed of any changes
Maintain insurance cover for Public Liability, Product Liability and Employers' Liability (which includes volunteers)
Provide you with a safe working environment in line with our Health and Safety Advice
Apply our Equality Policy and Safeguarding Policy
Resolve any difficulties or grievances which may be encountered while you volunteer with us in a fair and just manner
Reimburse you for any previously agreed expenses
You agree to do your best to:
Work reliably to the best of your ability
Meet time commitments and standards you have agreed to, and to give reasonable notice so other arrangements can be made when this is not possible
Read, understand and volunteer within SRC's rules, including the Health and Safety Advice, Equality Policy and Safeguarding Policy
Maintain confidentiality in relation to customers’ and other volunteers' personal details
Provide receipts for agreed expenses you wish to claim
This agreement is binding in honour only and is not intended to be a legally binding contract between SRC and the volunteer. It may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither party intends any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.
