I’m going to be in a staged reading of a play, alongside SSU alum Stephen Zubricki, titled Slippage, written by SSU alum Robert Brennan! Slippage runs on August 9th at 2 and August 10th at 6, as part of the Boston’s New Playwrights Festival at the Calderwood Theatre.
Isaac Goldbaum is thriving as a stage manager and set designer in NYC and in upstate New York! He has worked on multiple off-Broadway shows (both world premiers & revivals). His favorite productions include "Madwomen of the West" with Marilu Henner, Caroline Aaron (Mrs. Maisel), Brooke Adams and Melanie Mayron directed by Tom Caruso, The Sabbath Girl starring Marilyn Caserta (Six) and Diana DiMarzio (Sweeney Todd with Patti Lupone), and Ceremonies in Dark Old Men with Norm Lewis (Phantom), Morgan Siobhan Green (Hadestown) and Grammy winner Felicia Boswell (Jesus Christ Super Star Live!). He has also set designed upstate regionally for Penguin Rep and worked on other projects including Golem Owned a Tropical Smoothie. In his free time he does freelance design work and subs as a PA. He stays very close with his Salem family and has worked with alumni Lily Barnes at Penguin Rep.
Since graduation, I’ve been keeping delightfully busy in the Greater Boston theatre scene. I’ve had the joy of directing productions like Urinetown, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), Lucky Stiff, and Ramona Quimby. I also teach private acting lessons to the talented and theatrical youth of the South Shore at the South Shore School of Theatre, where the teen drama is always welcome! Up next, I’m thrilled to direct Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic with the TCAN Players in Natick. Mischief managed? Not quite, I’m just getting started.
I am the Technical Director of North Shore Music Theater now and am the Union Shop Steward. In 2020 I helped lead the organizing of NSMT into IATSE Local 11 and since 2021 I have been a member of that Union. In 2022, other former SSU alum Isabel Samuel and I got married and now live in Haverhill Mass.

Claudia Cruz has just been hired as the Relief Manager for the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund!
"Cloud is grateful to be able to join the Atlanta Artist Relief Fund! As an artist, Cloud strives to provide a therapeutic experience for BIPOC that will uplift, strengthen, and show them that our stories are just as valid and vital as any other. Cloud is beyond excited to work with AARF to further extend her mission." - Claudia 'Cloud' Cruz
Claudia also started her own cloth mask company this spring, making and donating hundreds of masks to people in need!
"Early march, Claudia returned home to Georgia to quarantine with her family. While home, her then 5 month old niece, India, was having trouble breathing with some sort of respiratory bug. India was so bad that she admitted to the NICU for 5 days. That’ s when it all started. The doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists had to share the same gown. It got to the point where they had to sign out one N95 mask to go into the India’s room and give it back. This hurt Claudia so much. She was home and needed to do something. So, after hundreds of YouTube videos she taught herself to sew in one night! She has been sewing from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to bed... at 2:00am, most nights. Her mission is to help her community stay safe and healthy. As of right now, Claudia has made about 550 masks which have went to the medical workers in her community, family, and friends! Claudia hopes to make a difference and inspire in these uncertain times."
