The Theatre Department Office has compiled a list of professional theatre companies/venues in the North Shore/Greater Boston area that offer discounted tickets for current college students.
Please note that these discounts are subject to change- it's always worth double-checking with each theatre's box office/website to verify that this information is still accurate before you make a trip into the city for a rush ticket.

$25 Student Tickets: Valid for anyone under 25 or with a valid Student ID.
20 for 20: For every performance, we will have 20 tickets on sale for $20.
And if you are experiencing financial hardship and unable to afford tickets, please contact our box office team at 617-241-2200 or boxoffice@actorsshakespeareproject.org and we will find a way to get you in to see the show. ASP is dedicated to not turning away any audience members based on need.

Advance Tickets: Anyone under the age of 25 or a full-time college, university, or high school student with a valid student ID can purchase a Students and Under 25 ticket in advance for $25 plus fees for many A.R.T. performances. Please contact Ticket Services at TicketServices@amrep.org, by phone at 617.547.8300, or in person at the Loeb Drama Center to use this discount. Limit one ticket per performance per ID.
Rush Tickets: Anyone under the age of 25 or a full-time college, university, or high school student with a valid student ID can purchase a Students and Under 25 Rush ticket for $15, subject to availability. These are available on the day of the performance by phone at 617.547.8300 or in person at A.R.T. Ticket Services only. Limit one ticket per performance per ID.
Membership: Students and Under 25 Membership is available for $10 per season. Students and Under 25 Members receive Students and Under 25 prices in advance of general public access to all the shows in one season. Limit one $15 ticket per member, per performance.

Rush Tickets: Full time high school or college students can get up to two $10 tickets by presenting a valid and current student ID in-person at the Box Office on the day of an ArtsEmerson production.
Advance Tickets: Full time high school or college students can get up to two $20 tickets in advance of any ArtsEmerson in-person or virtual performance by presenting a valid and current student ID at the Box Office. Tickets may also be purchased online by selecting the Student Advance price option on the seating chart page.

Student Rush Tickets: $29 Student Rush Tickets are based on availability- check their social media for more information regarding student rush tickets for current productions.

Student Rush: $16 Student Rush tickets are available one hour before each performance. Valid Student ID or guardian are required to receive the rush rate.
College Discounts: If you belong to a specific college campus community and are looking for an even greater discount, please inquire about a special college discount at (617) 576-9278.
Usher: Look good in black and white? Ushers see shows at Central Square Theater for free. Volunteering as an usher is a great way for theatre enthusiasts to go behind-the-scenes.

All performances of Shakespeare on the Common are FREE and open to the public. We offer a limited number of reserved chairs in our Friends Section located near the stage at each performance.

Any and all discounts are up to discretion of each show and vary show-to-show. Rush tickets, when offered by the show, are subject to availability. When available, they will be sold at the box office. A valid ID must be presented, without which the offer may be revoked. It will be noted if rush tickets are available in advance; otherwise, they are sold two hours before each scheduled curtain.

25 of $25: In an effort to make live theatre available to all, regardless of financial situation, GBSC makes 25 tickets available for $25 for every mainstage production. Tickets are good for all seats and performances (subject to availability) on a first-come first-served basis. Please call the box office at 781-279-2200 to reserve these tickets. Student Tickets: Student Tickets for students with a valid ID from a degree-granting institution are $10, and are subject to availability. Tickets can be purchased online, in person, or over the phone at (617) 585-5678.
$5 Fridays: For the first Friday of every production in the season, $5 tickets will be available by using a code found on our Instagram and Facebook accounts. The code can be used on-line or by calling the box office at 617-585-5678. There is a limit of four tickets per transaction.
