The purpose of The Wright to Perform is to create a space for theatre majors, minors, and non-majors to gain experience and knowledge primarily in playwriting. Students will also have the opportunity to perform in, direct, and work on each other’s works, culminating in a showcase each semester to present student work.
The Wright to Perform, Salem State's Playwriting Club is preparing for its second ever showcase of student written plays, but we need your help. If you or someone you know is interested in directing, designing, or stage managing, please stop by our first meeting of the semester on Friday, January 17th from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the Cynthia McGurren Conference Room.
At this meeting, we will be discussing open positions and time commitment involved, the plays we're planning to produce, and proposed audition, rehearsal, and performance dates/times. Stop by as your schedule permits or send us an email at wrighttoperform@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!
More information will also be available soon for those interested in performing and later meetings will be dedicated to those interested in writing. Check out our Instagram @ssu_playwriting and we can't wait to work with you soon!
