Subject Description
Law and (dis)Order is a unit that looks at Australia's justice system. Justice will be an introduction to the Australian Legal System including the police investigation process and court hierarchy. Students will examine how laws change to reflect society’s values and peoples’ rights in society.
They explore areas of law that are currently affecting their lives and future lives, including Rule of Law, the Police and you, Crime, Young People and the Law and some (in)famous Australian cases.
Pathways into further schooling
This unit is the perfect complementary unit of Politics, Power and Promises (Year 9/10 elective).
This unit is an excellent choice as a pathway leading into VCE Legal Studies.
