- A generous end-of-contract flight bonus is paid for completion of the final day of your contract. It is paid as a lump sum upon completion of your contract and ranges between 4000 and 6000 RMB depending on the role and your level of experience and skills.
- If you are still in China at the time, you will receive it in RMB (Chinese currency) in your Chinese bank account. If you are flying back to the UK soon after your contract finishes, you can expect to receive it in cash (GBP) via Western Union. Western Union is an easy money transfer system that allows cash to be moved between countries and collected from thousands of outlets across the UK. For example, you may find your local newsagent or travel agent are Western Union operators.
- There are some roles that command a slightly higher end-of-contract bonus, and this may depend on the role - or the skills and experience of the candidate.
- Flights can cost as little as £350 and as much as £1000. You will be able to pick dates to suit flight costs and the Chinese are quite flexible in terms of arrival date in order to help get the cheapest option.
Please also note: We do not get into bartering over bonuses and salaries because a different school or company has offered something higher. The strength of this programme is in the quality of experience, fairness and sensitivity to local socio-economic factors.
