Thank you Eli, Robbie, and Mia for helping with this one :)
In photography 1, we were required to take photos of silhouettes. I took it to the next level trying to find cool ways to take silhouette photos. I took my phone and a couple of other phones that were in my house, put tape over the flashlight, and then took a sharpie and colored the tape. In order for the colors to really pop I had to turn off the lights so the only thing that you could see was the colored light and whatever the light was shining on. Since silhouettes are light coming from behind the subject I had one of my brothers hold the light and the other be my model ( thank you Owen and Crosby).
In the photos above I had many composition rules and techniques presented in these photos. For example, rule of thirds, low key lighting, silhouette, angle up, angle down, and so much more. When I first tested out my idea I had Eli, Mia, and Robbie to help me. We were in a darker room, had more people, and the most importantly we had a different camera to take photos. So, after i transitioned into a different setting and camera the results were far different. They were more bright and didn't capture a true silhouette. So, after I took around 23 different photos, I went and edited them to make them darker and have the color pop a little more than before.
I saw something on pinterest a long time ago where you could make a blue light with your flashlight from your phone, and so I thought why couldn't I do that with other colors. So, that's how I got this idea to do colored light images. Next time I would like to use more flashlights and a darker room, because the results are totally different. Other than that I'm very happy with the results.
