Perspective project

Angle Up: Day 2

Angle Down: Day 4

The images above were taken during storm that washed over multiple cities in Maine. The first six photos were taken when we were trying to cut down a huge oak tree that fell in our driveway. The last six were what I call our emotions through the whole process. My mom helped me model the emotions she and others were feeling, for example, we were delirious, depressed, and tired. Most of these photos were taken at my house, but about 5 of them were taken at my grandparents house where we are lucky enough to stay at. A lot of these were taken of other people, but the photos where I tried to capture emotion, I took of myself since I was experiencing those same emotions.

Throughout my photos I capture formal and informal balance, rule of thirds, and high key lighting. I edited the first six photos to be bright or highlight important parts. The last six I made them a little bit darker, and brought the saturation down a little bit since this time has been a little gloomy.

Like I said before, these images are telling a story of the terrible storm that hit Maine, and how a local family was working to fix their lifestyle. This experience has been very enlightening so I am glad that I got to live through it. Honestly there are a few photos that I'm not quite happy with like the last photo and the 4th just because the quality of the photos aren't that great. So, overall I wish I took more photos, but again this time was a little rough so it was hard to take the images.
