Christmas break

In the image above, the subject is a snow man that was created by my brother. While creating this roll I tried to focus the camera but it never worked, the only way that it would show up with a sharp focus was with the flash. But, when the flash was on the image was too bright and was hard to develop. This image was created by hanging the Christmas decoration on the window and then taking a picture. When I went to develop my roll, I had a feeling that the pictures wouldn't turn out right like the ones before. Of course, I was right. So, I just had to roll with it ;) But, I patiently created the contact print trying to create it to where each photo had their own aperture and time exposure so they had a realistic look to them. Out of all the contact photos, I chose this one because it represented Christmas with the best quality.

In this photo it's composed of formal balance, soft focus, and low key lighting. My project evolved by creating my enlarged print to be lighter than my contact print. Besides my brother creating the decoration, there isn't a story. I saw it, I hung it up on the window, and then took a picture. If I could change it I would, again do the roll all of again. Towards the end of the semester I began to get stressed out and didn't put enough integrity and determination into my work.
