Cloning and Overlays

Before Cloning:

After with Cloning :

Over laying:

In these two images, I was using photoshop to clone and overlay photos. The first image was taken down 295 on my way to my grandparents house, and the second photo is a combination of my brother jumping and the sky with a tree off to the side. The first image I originally created was used with my Iphone and I just sat the camera onto the dashboard and took a photo. The second photo is two photos combined into one, the background was a picture I took but that was a while back when I was trying to capture high key lighting. The other was brother trying to touch a tree branch by jumping . I chose these two images because the first one was bothering me with the light post in the picture. The second one was because my brother said he looked like superman, so I decided to take his idea up another level making him Super-Owen.

In the first photo, the picture captured leading lines, informal balance and more! The second photo consists of formal balance, high key lighting, and a few others. Photoshopping these images were a little challenging because I had to pay really close attention to detail. The first photo was easy, I just used the cloning stamp and just matched the colors with the same area. But, the second photo probably took me 45 min. First, I had to lasso my brother and copy it over to the base image. Then, I had to delete any spots I missed while I was lassoing the image. Finally, I had to smudge the outside of my brother so it blended in better. It's still a little rough, but it was fun to make.

The first image has a simple story of my family and I going to my grandparents house, the second image is a little funnier just because my brother wanted to become Super-Man so I edited the photo so he could become Super-Owen. Both photos relate to my life because I travel down 295 a lot and my brother Owen is constantly with me so I have a connection with him. In the first image I would next time consider editing out some of the buildings or metals post, and with the second one I would find a way to blend my brother in better with the background because right now it looks copied.
