1) Out of all the class projects we completed this semester my favorite was most likely the pinch pot assignment where I constructed either the death star or my tentacle. I feel like I paid close attention to detail in both those pieces and they finished well. This project taught me that before your clay objects enter to be fired they must be hollow thats why I pieced to half pinch pots together to create both my pieces.
2) By taking this class my views have changed tremendously about ceramics. A lot goes into working with clay, techniques, and prep work, glazing, firing, I was amazed by the process that went into a finished piece. One thing that I truly appreciated about taking this class was the freedom and creativity that you were granted as an artist, you could take any project and make it original. I now have a bigger appreciation for ceramic artists because building with clay takes an imense amount of time and skill and to see little flaws in their work amazes me.
3) This class has been a really fun experience for me and I'm glad i started my first semester of senior year with it. I can't think of many recommendations for the class the only one that comes to mind is getting comfier stools or chairs to sit on when working at the clay tables haha. I highly recommend this class and I had a great time.
