Background

I graduated from the Leland campus in 2012. After high school, I went to UNC Pembroke for Exercise Physiology. At UNCP, I interned with the football team, which gave me hands-on experience with athletic training. I also worked at Walt Disney World for two years in the Disney College Program. This was a great experience that helped me thrive in a fast-paced environment. I graduated from Pembroke on the Honors list with a 3.9 GPA.

What are you doing now?

I currently work as a chiropractic assistant at Elite Chiropractic in Wilmington, NC and plan to go to graduate school for Athletic Training in the future.

How did your time at The Roger Bacon Academy prepare you for your endeavors?

RBA led me to be respectful and independent in all that I do. The education at RBA is unlike any other and it helped me learn material faster. I have also gotten more out of my further education thanks to the tools RBA provided me.

How has your Roger Bacon Academy education shaped who you are as a person and in your career?

RBA inspired me to be the best individual I can be. I have followed my dreams and had teachers, including Mr. Fassbender and Mrs. Bolen, who helped me realize my potential.

My experience cheering for the 6 years I attended RBA and winning a National Championship in 2013 helped me determine that I wanted to be an Athletic Trainer. The environment RBA and cheer provided made this dream possible.
