Background
After graduating from RBA, I attended North Brunswick High School. While in high school, I took honors and AP classes while also being dual enrolled at Brunswick Community College. On top of all of that, I was on the varsity cheerleading team. I graduated high school in the spring of 2021 and started at UNC Wilmington in the fall of 2021.
What are you doing now?
I currently attend UNC Wilmington majoring in Respiratory Therapy. I plan on graduating in 2025 and becoming a registered respiratory therapist. I am also a part of Delta Gamma sorority, and I serve on their JCMT as the Director of Interfraternal activities.
How did your time at The Roger Bacon Academy prepare you for your endeavors?
My time at RBA prepared me for academic success. Because the courses at RBA are so in-depth and accelerated, it set me up for success in high school and college.
How has your Roger Bacon Academy education shaped who you are as a person and in your career?
RBA always held me to the highest standards and kept me accountable. RBA taught me to be confident in my work and never give up. They also impacted my character in a positive way. Every teacher I had at RBA shaped me into the person I am today and made a difference in my life. The teachers genuinely cared about not only your academics, but your well-being.
Mr. Simmons was always there to help me or even just be encouraging. I was not the best math student, but he always made sure I understood the concepts and was there to answer all of the many questions I had. Overall, he made a huge impact on my academic career and made me feel confident in my work.
