Practice Lesson Videos - See how our students learn through on-line instruction!
The following recordings are practice lessons that exemplify the same Direct Instruction methods that we have successfully used in the physical classrooms for over 20 years. Each video shows the importance of frequent interactive exchanges between the teacher and students.
Parent Expectations for On-Line Instruction:
Parents/Guardians should support children in their learning process by:
Monitoring www.infoRBA.net for updates
Designating a quiet and comfortable space where your child will learn each day (consider an appropriate space to use for live Zoom meetings)
Ensuring their child displays appropriate behavior during learning sessions
Asking your child to provide a brief summary of the learning he/she is engaging in for each class to check their understanding of content
Asking your child about their deadlines in submitting their assignments
Student Expectations for On-Line Instruction:
Students will:
Check appropriate Google Classrooms for information on courses, assignments, and resources, on a daily basis
Identify a quiet and comfortable space to study and learn
Exercise digital citizenship which speaks to academic honesty and adherence to the school pledge
Engage in distance learning activities as assigned by the teacher(s)
Submit all assignments by the due dates
Attend Zoom Meetings in school uniform
Extended-Learning Packets for Students:
Our Academic Deans have prepared a PDF packet that is grade-level specific and provides an extensive review to firm up mastery and fluency content in all subject areas. In the event that the Governor implements Plan C at any given time during the school year, all students will utilize an extended-learning packet while any necessary transitions to full on-line learning occurs (typically 2-week timeframe).
