Teacher Expectations for Online Instruction
Teachers will:
Provide face-to-face instruction or office hours in accordance with the online instruction student schedules (See Student Schedules).
Wear professional attire for all face-to-face interactions with students.
Offer direct support for at least the minimum hours per day in accordance with the Required Weekly Instructional Schedule for their grade level/department
Grade K-8 teachers will post work via Google Classroom
Grade K-8 teachers will engage with students to deliver lessons via Zoom Meetings
Grade 4-8 teachers will engage with students daily via Google Classroom by posting questions and responses, essential questions, exit tickets
In Google Classroom, teachers will post their “office hours” for which students can have access to them for support
Instructional Assistant/Interventionist Expectations for Online Instruction
Instructional Assistants/Interventionist will:
Attend all Zoom Meetings that correspond with their current school schedule
If not leading the Zoom Meeting, the IA/Interventionist will support the teacher with assigned tasks
Treat distance instruction as a fun challenge for the children and involve a 4:1 positive: negative feedback to the children- Set up a clear reinforcement system from the beginning with clear expectations for what the students are working for
Wear professional attire for all face-to-face interactions with students.
Call students to check-in and boost morale
Participate in all staff and grade level meetings virtually
