Dear Parents,
As we begin the new school year, I have been encouraging our teachers and staff to put on their “oxygen mask." This is a term sometimes used in psychology to emphasize the importance of taking care of oneself during times of crisis. I encourage all of you as parents to put on your oxygen mask, as we all prepare to navigate this unfamiliar course we are about to enter.
We here at the Roger Bacon Academy are preparing to meet the emotional and academic needs of our students. We anticipate that once school begins some of them may experience an array of emotions including worry, fear, anxiety, etc. Our staff has been trained on what to look for and how to best support these students.
As your Social Worker, I remain available to you and your child and invite you to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. On this page I have provided links to articles that I think may be helpful to you. In addition, I will be sharing and updating services and resources available in the community.
I can be reached at (910) 655-1214 ext. 203 or jtucker@rogerbacon.net
Best Regards,
