Parent News and Communication

At Roding Valley High School, we understand the importance of communication. We believe that by communicating effectively with parents, students and stakeholders, everyone benefits. The school gains the trust of parents, parents achieve peace of mind, and children reap the rewards of everyone pulling in the same direction. Most importantly, children benefit by improved communication because contact between home and school helps children learn and succeed.

At Roding Valley High school, our Policy is that our staff should respond to all emails were possible within 48hours, we endeavour to only email between the hours of 7am and 7pm, as we recognise the importance of wellbeing and family life. Our staff is always on hand to help and answer any questions you may have and  we have an amazing Pastoral team in place to support your child's journey at our school.

At Roding Valley, we use Edulink for our parent communication system, this system is  a powerful new whole school solution designed for teachers, parents and students to effectively collaborate in a user-friendly mobile and web app. It reduces administration and improves engagement and student outcomes. As a member of the Roding Valley community, all parents and stakeholders receive a fortnightly Newsletter, called the 'RVHS Bulletin', our  students produce a termly magazine called 'RVHS Exposed' and finally we produce a yearly magazine which celebrates all of the key events from the past year called 'A Year in the Life'.
