Congratulations on joining Roding Valley High School and becoming a part of our wonderful and vibrant community!  We are delighted to welcome you to our Year 6 Micro site. This site will contain all of the information that both yourself and your child/children need to know regarding our school. These pages contain lots of information regarding our school and the transition events we have in place for our new students to prepare for their transition to Roding Valley High School in September 2024.

When you applied to Roding Valley High School we were in the process of dealing with the presence of RAAC in one of our buildings which led to its closure. We were delighted to be able to open 19 new classrooms in temporary structures in October and I am also delighted to tell you that funding has now been agreed with the Department for Education to build a new kitchen and catering facility over the summer so that all students and staff will once again have access to a full menu in September. We are incredibly proud of how our students have adapted to these unplanned changes this academic year and cannot wait to return in September with new facilities ready to go!

We have high expectations of every student at Roding Valley High School and will work with all stakeholders to ensure that each student makes fantastic progress during their 7 year journey. There are so many opportunities at Roding Valley High School and I want to nurture students, who are keen to take every opportunity that is presented to them and help them to be the best that they can be. Together, we can look forward to your child’s successes and achievements in the next few years. I truly believe that this is a great school, with great students and great teachers; I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our school community.
