Your introduction to the study of Drama will incorporate many physical aspects such as breathing technique, facial and body warm ups, and basic staging methods.
Throughout the year you will gain experience in all dramatic fields including character acting, singing, dancing, writing original dialogue, performing both solo and with your fellow classmates. Although the hope is that you find all these challenges enjoyable, the main skills we want you to take away are teamwork, professionalism, focus, and self-confidence.
If you decide to study the Performing Arts later on, you will be looking closely at the work of some of the greatest Theatre Practitioners including Samuel Beckett, Sarah Kane and Stanislavski, performing in several advanced dramatic styles including devising your very own piece of original theatre. It is great for those wanting to move onto a career in the Arts.
