Rice's Obligation to 

Award Management Stage

The management stage begins when all initial compliance requirements have been met, and all scientific/programmatic preparations have been made. 

• It comprises the entire time the research project is being conducted (period of performance) and  includes all scientific activities as well as the supporting administration.

• The management stage is sometimes considered to have ended when all research data have been collected and analyzed, with the project period of performance is concluded.

• Oftentimes, scientific/programmatic and administrative work may progress from the management stage into the next stage (close out)
