The Curriculum and Instruction for the Gifted Learner Course is one of two graduate courses required for Gifted and Talented endorsement. The course will be offered virtually Feb. 12th, Feb. 19th, Feb. 26th, Mar. 5th , Mar. 12th 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Those who successfully complete the course will earn 3 graduate credits. This course equips educators to cultivate, support, and assess thinking in their classrooms. It is designed for all levels and content areas. Through applied cognitive strategies, dialogic practices, and performance-based planning, participants will develop tools to make student thinking visible, foster intellectual engagement, and measure growth in problem-solving and reasoning. The course will be offered Monday, January 26 (in person), Monday, February 2 (in person), Monday, February 9 (asynchronous – assignments posted to Canvas), Monday, February 16 (asynchronous – assignments posted to Canvas), Monday, February 23 (in person), Monday, March 2 (asynchronous – assignments posted to Canvas), Monday, March 9 (in person) from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm at District Office/Zoom .
