Lunch for the Professional Learning Day is on your own and off-site from 11:30 am-1:00 pm.
Participation in the October 9th Professional Learning Day is required for all certified employees of the district. All district employees should report to their assigned conference sites (South Pointe High or OEC Conference location) that day. Personal days may not be taken on this day without prior approval from the district Superintendent, and no "exchange days" will be offered within the year as an alternative for an absence on this day.
Attendees should register for the Keynote session and their respective PLC session KickUp. Attendance for PD sessions will be noted by session facilitators; attendance for larger sessions such as the keynote will utilize the KickUp session code for which participants will confirm their own attendance. Attendees must register for sessions prior to the session start time in order to receive credit for attendance.
Non-certified, full-time employees may attend the conference although it is not a requirement. All non-certified employees have access to KickUp and may register for any sessions of interest.
Teaching Interns may attend the conference; however, because they are not employees of the district, they are not able to register via KickUp. Internship supervisors will have to share the session information with their interns.
Participants should register for conference sessions through KickUp. PLC sessions are linked to KickUp in the Conference Schedule at a Glance. All district employees have KickUp accounts. If you are not able to access your KickUp account, please email jholmes@rhmail.org.
Review the expectations for all sessions prior to the conference.
A Conference Help Desk will be available in the gallery at each site to provide assistance during the conference from 7:15 am to 11:30 am on the day of the conference.
Individuals with needs for special accommodations including lactation rooms and accommodations for food allergies should email Dr. Holmes at jholmes@rhmail.org before October 9th.
