Year 12 students in their second year of NCEA at Rotorua Girls’ High School Rautāwhiri, reinforce their learning and lay the groundwork for their final year of high school. While English remains the sole compulsory subject, emphasising essential literacy skills, students also choose four further subjects that cater to their individual interests and aspirations. This diverse curriculum encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication, preparing students for the academic challenges they will encounter in their final year of NCEA and beyond. Year 12 serves as a crucial period where students begin to refine their academic focus, setting a strong foundation for success in their subsequent year of high school and future endeavours.
