For you to use a monster in D&D you must have stats that help you play them. Below are the basics of what you need to think about.
Armor Class - what you need to roll to hit it.
Hit Points - How Healthy it is. The bigger the number the harder to kill.
Speed - How fast is it.
General Stats - these tell you how strong, quick, healthy, smart, wise and charming your monster is.
5. Skills such as Stealth(Silent) Immunities - Acid does no damage. Senses and languages spoken etc...
6. Special Featchers -
Can take the shape of any non living thing.
It's tounge can grab and stick to almost anything.
When it is motionless it is impossible to tell it is a Mimic.
7. Actions - This is what a monster can do and how much damage it does if it is an attack. A Mimic can:
Attack with it's tounge. (4 to 11 damage)
It can bite. (4 to 11 damage) + (1 to 8 acid damage)
It likes dark places.
Start with the drawing first, then think about the stats.
