This course will prepare teachers for planning and instruction with incoming technology. This class introduces the SAMR framework and components that connect with the levels. Teachers will also watch an inspirational video of the power of technology to transform learning. In the end teacher set a goal for using technology in their classroom.
This course will provide a general introduction to using Chromebooks in the Classroom by reviewing three main topics: Chromebook Management, Classroom Management with Digital Devices, and Digital Citizenship.
Teachers will learn Chromebook management along with the procedures for troubleshooting issues that may arise. They will explore, discuss and complete assignments focusing on Classroom Management and incorporating Chromebooks to enhance instruction through SAMR.
In the Digital Citizenship Module, teachers will complete the educator training from Netsmartz where they will learn about the risks children face online. The training offers key lessons and resources that can be used for each age group.
4 Hours
This course will engage you in exploring various Google applications that will make dynamic additions to your digital toolkit. In this course, we will provide an overview of Google Drive, as well as an overview of the Google Suite that is great for educators and support collaborative learning. In addition, participants will get started in Google Classroom.
In Digital Transformation: Google 102, participants will expand upon what they learned in Google 101 by delving further into the G-Suite. Participants will learn more features of Google Drive, Docs, Forms, and slides while developing their Google Classroom to enhance instruction while using the Chromebooks.
Prerequisite: You must have successfully completed IT_eLearning: Digital Transformation: Google 101 in order to take this class.
