Safety is the first priority during woodworking and doing STEM projects that require the use of tools!

I have attached the STEM Safety Expectations and Rules sheet for students that I give to them and go over with them BEFORE giving them tools. This is due diligence and must be done for all students. I have an attendance sheet that tracks who has done the sheet and heard my lesson about how to use the tools properly. If any students are absent, I take them aside and do the lesson with them to make sure that they know how to use the tools properly.

It is critical to do checks on equipment and tools daily to ensure that none go missing and that all are accounted for.

Students sign the sheet and I keep a dated copy in my desk as due diligence also.
