Carol Steckbeck

Carol has more than 25 years of experience as a communications professional, working with rail industry associations and nonprofit organizations. Her expertise includes providing strategic PR counsel, project management, writing, media relations, event planning, website content management, sponsorship marketing, executive communications, and social media content management. She holds a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York College at Cortland. Carol is an experienced public relations consultant who creates value for nonprofit and transportation industry clients, using communications and social media tools to increase exposure and support marketing and PR goals.

Why do you mentor? In my 20s while working at the Association of American Railroads, I had an outstanding female executive mentor who made a big impact on my career (I rose to become a Vice President at AAR). I know how helpful having a mentor can be.
