Connect With Rail Mentors

Stay tuned as we launch our 2022 Summer Mentor Sessions program!

Feel free to apply to be a mentor or sign up as a mentee, but keep in mind that the program will not start until June 2022.

FLEXIBLE, SELF-LED MENTORING PROGRAM

Schedule one-on-one, 45-minute virtual sessions with experienced railway professionals who can help you achieve your career goals or provide railroading insights from their perspective.

By signing up, you agree to adhere to the LRW Mentor Sessions Code of Conduct.

What Is Mentor Sessions?

SUPPORT NETWORK

We launched this pilot to help give LRW members an edge by tapping into our vast network of rail experts and providing guidance to cultivate women in rail.

NO COMMITMENTS

Unlike traditional mentoring programs, mentees have the freedom to engage with a mentor on a one-time basis or for a longer period.

MULTI-DISCIPLINES

Because of this high level of flexibility, mentees can choose mentors from many disciplines and viewpoints, enriching the breadth of knowledge on offer.

How Do I Get Started?

1. Sign up to participate

Complete our signup form to register for the program and let us know about your career goals and objectives. This also helps your mentor better prepare for your meeting.

2. Find a mentor

Our volunteer mentors come from different fields, departments, and disciplines. Read about their bios and skills to find one who can best advise you on your career path.

3. Schedule to meet

Use our calendar to set up an appointment with your mentor (must have a Google account). An event invite will be sent automatically. Make sure you can commit to the time you scheduled.
